Focus Session: Return - Remedy to EU migration gridlock?

This Focus Session covers the increased emphasis on return migration in the EU as proposed by the Pact on Migration. The speakers discuss the current challenges and corresponding needs of Member States in the field of return and reintegration and how the pact can address these challenges.

High-level Political Session: Give and Take – The geo-political context for migration diplomacy

This High-level Political Session begins with a discussion of the priorities and challenges of the German EU Presidency, which comes to a close in December 2020. Representatives from the EU and key partners, the African Union and Turkey, then examine possibilities for improved partnerships and challenges hindering increased cooperation.
